Emma A. Triphora

Hi there! I'm Emma. If you know me, it's likely due to my presence in the Minecraft modding community—specifically at Modrinth. I've been there in various capacities since 2021. If you've ever played a modded Minecraft instance on 1.19 or above, Applicable to Fabric, Quilt, Forge, and NeoForge. you have run some small amount of code written by me.

Outside of that, I'm a student at Haverford College, just outside Philadelphia. You've probably never heard of it. I'm an urban studies major; my life goal is to never own a car, and I take pride in my public transit expertise. I'm also minoring in both computer science and classics. I might end up doing a double major with computer science.

I daily drive Linux, and I have since 2020. You can check out my system specifications.

I listen to a few distinct genres of music: 60s-80s classic rock and folk, 90s-00s alternative rock, modern Japanese pop and Vocaloid, Even though I don't know Japanese. Greek laïko and neo kyma, and an occasional mixin of Yankovician parody. My favorite artist is Ado.

Triphora isn't my real last name. That would be hilarious if my initials were EAT. It's a genus of orchid—I chose it because I like orchids. As a double meaning, it is an elision of «τρία φορά» (tria fora), which is a grammatically incorrect way of saying “thrice” in Modern Greek. The correct grammar would be «τρείς φορές» (trees fores). Fitting, as this is the third online username I've primarily used.
